Overwhelmed? I can help.

Traveling with kids (especially young ones!) can seem overwhelming... so overwhelming that many parents don’t even try. I’m here to help you get over that. You CAN do it. The challenges are totally surmountable and they don’t have to exhaust you just thinking about them. Let’s figure out what’s keeping you from traveling or where you’re stuck/overwhelmed in the process…and let’s unblock you, let’s get you moving forward confidently– together! I’ve been there. I have four kids ages 5mo, 3.5yrs, 5yrs, and almost 7yrs. And, honestly, what I’ve seen is that most of the time it’s moms who feel saddled with the packing and organizing of all the kids’ stuff (clothes, medicines, bottles, wipes, diapers, carry-on snacks and activities, etc)… and it can just be too much sometimes (what about car seats? And where is the baby going to sleep? Stroller or no stroller? Single or double stroller? Front pack? Back pack?) Aaaaaaaah . It’s too much. Let’s break it down, let’s create a plan (a strategy!) and make some decisions. Let’s get you traveling with your kid(s). You don’t have to do this on your own. Let me help you through it.

What I do

My focus is on helping you get out of town… - I listen and am a sounding board for you - I help identify what the challenges are - I offer strategies, decision-making aids, and concrete/actionable ideas that make planning, packing, and travel easier

What I don't do

- Build custom itineraries for you - Research your trip for you - Act as crisis travel coach when your connecting flight in the middle of the Amazon jungle gets canceled and you don’t know what to do (ahhh!) (I technically could do all of these things but it would cost a ridiculous amount of money so it’s better not to even go there)

me + two of my kids

About me, Jessica Webster

Traveling has always been a part of my life. I’ve been to >65 countries, worked in >10, lived in >6, stayed with host families in 4, worked in the travel industry (Expedia), published a book chapter on Sustainable Tourism…and more.

I have schlepped 1-4 kids to >25 countries and my two most ridiculous travel-packing stories with kids include:
– One month with a 3.5 yr old, an almost 2 year old, and a 6 month old traveling through Thailand and Oman, with a brief two days in Germany (in the winter!) on the way home. My husband swore at the end that he might never travel again (but he did…about 2.5 months later)
– Moving the whole family to Mauritius (Where?!?! Oh yes, that little island 1200 miles off the eastern coast of Africa) for 6 weeks for work.

I’ve learned a lot through these adventures and would love to help other moms or dads navigate the process of how the heck to get out and go. It can be done.
